GNE - Can you please teach me how to upload the photos into an album together with comments? And then link it to my blog so that a slide show is launched when the reader clicks onto the link or the image?

GNE - I already have a Flickr account and have some photos in it. The problem with using Flickr is that it takes forever to login. I can access the login page but everytime after I type in my Yahoo username and password, the browser clears the login page (becomes a blankpage with only the toolbars visible). Local Area Connection Status shows the packets being received very quickly at first but it always slows down to only about 1 or 2 packets received every few seconds. The bottom status bar shows "Waiting for http://www.flickr.com/..." and the loading bar shows green midway and stays there. I have tried refreshing the loading of the page but it always ends up the same. Sometimes after waiting for 10 minutes, then I can successfully login!

I also encounter the same problem with loading Wikipedia pages, e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle. Also can't load http://www.singnet.com.sg/. Other sites so far no problem.

This problem only happens to my 2 PCs at home. I am using Starhub cable (Ultimate Plan 12 Mbps, supposed to be quite fast). My office PC does not have this problem with the mentioned websites.

What do you think could be the problem? Do you think it is due to the Starhub connection, my PCs' browser settings or whether my home PCs are infected with spyware or viruses?

(Sorry for the long comment.)

GD: Eh r u using IE or Firefox? I have no problem logging into the mentioned websites and I'm using Stinknet at the moment but totally hates it. VL uses Starhub but he has no problems logging in as well.. So weird..

GD u might wan to try reformatting your pc? heh heh heh.. Can you upload to somewhere first? LOL I can't wait for your pics!

Try www.shutterfly.com, www.webshots.com or www.slide.com.

Honestly, I only had flickr as the others are not up to my expectations. Other than flickr, I only upload my pics to my own server, as you can see from my taiwan trip.. Perhaps other readers can give you more tips?

I have Flickr and Photobucket. But I prefer Flickr becos of the layout. Also many members; can search for photos of pratically everything.

GNE - I encounter the same issues when using both IE or Firefox (I have both installed). Recently my hall's PC could not boot up and I reformatted the hard disk. Yet the same problems were still there.

I will be getting a laptop in Feb 2008. (It costs only $299 with MaxOnLine recontract.) I will then be able to verify if my MaxOnLine connection is indeed causing the problems since I can try using the laptop elsewhere.

Chun See - I have both Flickr and Photobucket accounts too. Photobucket also takes very long to login on my home PCs.

Welcome back from your holiday Victor! Which parts of Taiwan did you go? Pity you missed Alishan, it may be man-made but the air is fresh and the scenary is breathtaking! I miss Taiwan...

Do you have Picasa? It is a free software provided by Google for pictures: http://picasa.google.com/. You just store the photos in to that programme on your computer/latptop, then there is an option for Web Album. A few button clicks and you can upload the photos online. You get 1GB of photo space online.

GD: so how? u need my server space for the photos? LOL i think im too eager =x

I no like Taichung! Maybe Taipei is the only better city here and maybe stay in the outskirts so that can live a longer life.

Patricea - We went to Taipei, Hualien, Kaohsiung, Taichung and Lukang. Thanks for the tip on Picasa. Will try it.

GNE - Thanks for the offer of server space. Let me try Picasa first. BTW, climbing up Bukit Timah Hill is good enough to make me breathless.

Tigerfish - I like Hualien best for its scenery and "countryside feel".

Welcome home, LKK. Hope you've enjoyed your HK trip and found something nostalgic to write about it too.
