Sorry for not having written for some time as I have been quite busy lately. Meanwhile, here's an old Singapore quiz which I hope can buy me some time.
Q1. What is this old object? Is it:
a. A telescope? (State the bodies it is used for looking at, i.e. heavenly or neighbourly.)
b. A weapon? (Name the specific type, e.g. gun, cannon, mortar, rocket, etc. "One that hurts or kills" DOES NOT count as a correct answer.)
c. An adult sex toy? (Specify whether for men or women and describe how it is used, with measured decency. Hey, there are children readers of my blog, okay?)
d. A vehicle part? (What is the name of the part?)
e. A torture device? (What kind of torture does it inflict? Note: Racking your brain over this quiz DOES NOT count as a correct answer.)
f. A measuring device? (What does it measure?)
g. None of the above. (If you choose this answer, you must name the specific object and its use.)
Q2. Where is this object located? (Provide the name of the building or the road name.)
Answers will be revealed in a week's time. Have fun guessing!
I know the answer! It is very near to one of my recent second shot, haha
ReplyDeleteI am sure you know the answer, Icemoon. Especially with your sharp eyes and keen interest in war relics.
ReplyDeleteThanks for not ending this quiz prematurely for the others. :-)

ReplyDeleteYou're right, yg. I think this quiz has more than one answer to the question, since Vic has often given a multiple answers to the multiple questions.
ReplyDeleteFor instance, in his "Celebrating 55 Years" blog, Vic had placed the 2 golden eggs with an umbrella in a suggetive way...sorry, an adult mind think alike. For interpretation by adult and oldies views only!
could be some broken rear axle of a lorry.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an old mortar barrel.
ReplyDeleteI think it's some sorts of equipment used at a railway station.
ReplyDeleteI have had a good look at the photo it looks like a weapon that was used in one of the two world wars, I will stick my neck out and say its a old Mortar.
ReplyDeleteVictor,
ReplyDeleteLooks like a giant Colgate tooth paste for Brobdingnagians from Lemuel Gulliver's wanderings.
If it's a war relic, I wouldn't know.
To do markings on the road? The pipe for pouring in the black bitumen ? or whatever... a wild guess
ReplyDeleteTom is correct - definitely a weapon - an old mortar.
ReplyDeleteCertainly looks like a mortar. I would guess Japanese WWII. The base is interesting, I wonder if it was mounted in a vehicle. It look very much like some mortars in a book I have, "Japanese Army Handbook".
ReplyDeleteVictor ,your time is up we are all waitng for you to give us the answer .of quiz 18 -old object you have got us all dangling on a bit thread haha.
